Powder Glass Reef

Necklace handle made by the Krobo community in Ghana, Fair trade.

Made with fine powdered glass beads, the process behind this is that the Krobo community crushed recyeled bottles into powder form. Then they heat the powder together to fuse the particles, later placing them into clay molds and using a leaf stem to create an opening before heating them in an oven.

“Reef” is the perfect blend of a modern summer. With its neatly stacked glass on rope, it gives an ocean feel whether you are vacationing or stationed in the city.
